Description
Some leather shows very high levels of dye transferred during normal use. It’s usually enough to use Deep Cleaner F to remove all unwanted dye, but sometimes the dye can penetrate so deeply that even Deep Cleaner F can’t fully remove it. If a color coat is applied over a dye transfer, it’s highly likely that the dye will return to the surface.
Dye Transfer Blocker is a solvent-based product that is to be used before applying a color coat (HCC). It’s designed to be applied in the areas that present heavy stains due to color transfer that has penetrated into the leather and that can’t be removed by using Deep Cleaner F. Dye Transfer Blocker will stop the dye from migrating from inside back to the leather’s surface.
Directions: Clean the surface well using Deep Cleaner F. Once dry, apply Extra Adhesion and dry well. Apply a light, uniform coat of Dye Transfer Blocker onto the area. Complete the refinishing process with High Coverage Colors and Top Coat.
